Gundogs at Birr

Minor Breeds Tests

In addition on Saturday there will be Prelim and Novice AV Retriever Tests (organised by the Irish Water Spaniel Club – contact: Hillary Robinson) with Special prizes for Minor Breeds (i.e. AV other than Labrador Retriever) and an Open Test (confined to Minor Breeds only)

Sunday

National and International Tests organised by the Broadmeadows Gundog Club (contact: Derek Harford)

Morning: International test featuring ROI, NI, Ulster Select and Scottish teams.

Parking for Gundog handlers has been arranged on the estate: Entrance to Fair for Gundogs (Before 9.30 ) and Public (10.00 am to 18.00 hrs) and is through Gate A (Entrance at Croghan Gate, Croghan/Killeen Road). Please note Gundog owners arriving after 9.30 will park in the public car park.

In addition to the gundog competitions there will be gundog demonstrations in the main arena, a parade of Gundogs in the main arena and a World of Gundogs Pavilion, the latter sponsored by Pedro Dog Food.
