The Great Game Fairs of Ireland are renowned for their Terrier, Lurcher & Whippet events through their hosting of the All
Ireland Terrier & Lurcher Championships at Shanes Castle and the ROI Championships at Birr. Although our format has been
copied it has never been bettered and this year we launched the hugely successful Redmills Master McGrath Challenge and the
Redmills/ Irish Countrysports and Country Life Five Nations International Lurcher Championships.

1. Terriers
2. KC Registered Whippet – must show registration papers.
3. Un Reg Whippet
If the owners of the winning whippets in each class want to race against each other for top whippet we will put up a tankard
for the winner.
4. Novice Lurcher any size any age over 10 months. This is confined to lurchers that have not won a race. This is part of a new
competition for which other shows will be offered qualifiers. There will be a final for all 'Novice Race qualifiers' at Shanes
Castle on 7th July 2012 for the Philip Lawton Director’s Trophy. Winner receives two tickets for Shanes Castle Game Fair in
2012.
5. Special Under 24" Lurcher Race.
6 & 7. Master Mc Grath Challenge Qualifying Races – Under 23" and Over 23" Lurcher Races.
Both Over 23" Champion and Over 23" Champions to qualify for the final of the 2nd Annual Master Mc Grath Challenge at the Shanes
Castle Fair 7th July 2012. Winners receive Master Mc Grath Caps; limited edition qualifying Scrolls and Redmills Dog Food plus
subscription to Irish Countrysports and Country Life magazine plus two tickets to Shanes Castle Fair in 2012.
Prizes : €50 for the winner of each of the 7 races plus Trophy. Rosettes for 1st and Second sponsored by Redmills, Irish
Countrysports and Country Life magazine, Premier Event Catering and Countryside Alliance Ireland.
There will also be a demonstration by the Roscrea Club of racing from traps.
The Lurcher Racing at Birr is the first qualifier for the 2nd Annual REDMILLS Master McGrath Challenge - Final at Shanes
Castle in 2012 Over 23" and Under 23" qualify.
Winners of the first Redmills Master McGrath Challenge final at Shanes Castle 2011. Both winner and runner up were fed on
Redmills products.

OVERALL SHOW CHAMPION €50 + Tankard
CHAMPION LURCHER €50 + Tankard + Dog Food. This is the final qualifier for the Redmills Five Nations Lurcher Championship.
The FINAL of the REDMILLS FIVE NATIONS LURCHER CHAMPIONSHIP JUDGED BY A THREE JUDGE SYSTEM WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE MAIN ARENA AT
5.00pm. WILL ALL QUALIFIERS REGISTER WITH FAIR HQ BEFORE 12.00 noon. The Winner of the Five Nations Lurcher Championship will
receive a variety of prizes including €500; A Barbour Coat, a Cup to keep and a portrait of the winning dog by international
artist David L Prescott. Runner Up receives €50 plus a Trophy to keep.
